Burns Engineering selected 2009 Drexel University Outstanding Co-op Employer of the Year
The Drexel University Co-op program, one of the oldest and most expansive co-operative education programs in the world, gives students the opportunity to complete up to 3 separate 6-month paid internships in practical positions consistent with their career interests and abilities.
Nominations were submitted by former co-op students, and Burns was selected based on how the company compares with other co-op employers; mentoring, training and orientation programs offered; active involvement in activities on campus; ability to provide unique and challenging opportunities; and the length of time involved in the co-op program.
Burns would also like to congratulate Erica Leeds who received the Drexel University Co-op of the Year award. Erica joined Burns full-time in June as a Civil Engineer.
Burns places heavy emphasis on the employment experience in order to ensure we deliver on our promise of creating “Solutions That Build Your Future”. We are proud of our continuous development of our co-op and intern programs.
