Burns Completing Route 56 Transportation Study
Burns was recently selected by PennDOT to provide a complete engineering analysis and comprehensive review of the SR0056 corridor from Pleasantville Borough, Bedford County to Windber, Somerset County in Pennsylvania. The transportation study will identify safety and mobility issues, and will offer solutions to improve traffic flow and safety for all modes of transportation along the 17-mile corridor. The Burns team will develop transportation solutions that fit with present and future land use, and will support sustainable and livable communities that are along the highway. As the prime consultant, Burns will also coordinate public involvement with the community and stakeholders. Burns is teamed with French Engineering, a DBE firm, to assist in data collection along the corridor.
We are looking forward to working with PennDOT District 9-0 to develop solutions to improve mobility and safety along the corridor.
