Burns Facilitates Community Input For PennDOT Route 56 Corridor
As a good community partner, PennDOT is eager to collaborate with their constituents when undertaking projects. PennDOT has tasked Burns with the study of the Route 56 Corridor in Somerset and Bedford Counties. To gather valuable information from the traveling public and residents alike, Burns is currently assisting PennDOT engage the surrounding communities with a public outreach plan to assess the current conditions of the Route 56 corridor.
As part of the plan, Burns facilitated two public meetings that were very well attended. Many community members and stakeholders were present and provided thoughtful insight to their experiences along Route 56. With the shared ideas and important feedback from the public, Burns is now embarking on further data collection this fall to be used to plan potential improvements.
