Burns Assisting Oakland International Airport on Upgrade of Runway Safety Areas
Burns is providing engineering and design services to bring the airport’s runway safety areas (RSA’s) into conformance with current FAA airport design standards. All four of Oakland’s runways are affected by this project. Burns is providing electrical engineering support as a subconsultant to URS. Specific work items include identification and relocation of all lighting, signage, electrical, communications, data and NAVAIDS systems impacted by the RSA improvements.
