Burns Part of Team Selected for Dover AFB Runway Rehabilitation
Burns will be providing electrical engineering, airfield lighting and NAVAIDS design services to Atkins for this project which will rehabilitate Runway 01/19 at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. The scope of the project includes demolition of the existing runway pavement which has deteriorated due to age and use. The 9,602’ long runway will be repaved with concrete, while the shoulders and overruns will be repaved with asphalt. New edge, threshold, centerline and touchdown zone lights will be provided.
Burns is looking forward to continuing our long standing relationship with both the USAF and Atkins on this exciting project.
