Burns Selected for Amtrak Security Task Order Contract
Burns Engineering has been selected to provide on-call engineering services for Amtrak’s Office of Security Strategy and Special Operations. In 2008, Amtrak carried more than 28.7 million passengers from more than 500 destinations across 46 states, and are continuously trying to improve the safety and security of all passengers and personnel. Under this contract, Burns will be responsible for the design of security systems, including CCTV, passive and active perimeter control and detection, and access control, throughout Amtrak’s network of fixed and moving facilities.
