New Green Initiative at University of Pennsylvania
Burns has been selected to design a new HVAC system for the ground floor of the Van Pelt Dietrich Library at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) as part of UPenn’s Green initiative. Burns’ design services include schematic design, design development and construction document services for the renovation of an 11,000 sf area. Burns also conducted a study that looked at Radiant Cooling with Chilled Beams coupled with Direct Outside Air Systems (DOAS) as compared to a traditional Variable Air Volume (VAV) system.
