Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Selects Burns as Part of the Design Team for New Maintenance Facility
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is constructing a new Maintenance Facility on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, in Somerset Township, PA. Burns is part of the design team, providing Civil Engineering services for the following scope:
- Turnpike office space, various storage spaces, lunchroom, restrooms, locker room, server/communications room and mechanical and electrical spaces
- Salt storage facility
- Covered storage building
- Gas, diesel and propane fleet fueling stations
- Vehicle storage and repair building to store all fleet trucks and equipment
- 25,000 square feet for yard storage and parking for 30 vehicles
- Pennsylvania State Police facility will include office space, fitness room, evidence room, conference room, garage, kitchen, restrooms, storage, server room, conference room and mechanical and electrical equipment spaces.
- Communications building and relay tower
