SEPTA Selects Burns to Design Modern Fueling Facility at Major Bus Maintenance Complex
Burns was recently awarded a contract to design new space at SEPTA’s Victory Garage Bus Fueling Facility, where SEPTA workers can safely and efficiently dispense fuel and other operating fluids to busses and other vehicles. SEPTA’s bus fleet of 1388 vehicles serve bus passengers on more than 120 routes each day. Burns’ approach includes addressing key project challenges such as designing fueling systems, traffic and vehicle flow to ensure smooth operations on the site, environmental concerns of USTs and storm water management, and construction phasing to minimize impact on operations.
