Burns Partners With Lawrence Berkeley National Lab On Microgrid Modeling Tool
Burns is proud to announce it is one of a select group of companies collaborating with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) on the use of its microgrid optimization modeling tool. Burns is currently using this tool, the Distributed Energy Resources Customer Adoption Model (DER–CAM), to assess and design potential microgrid projects in Pennsylvania and New York. The newly released software is designed to holistically size, configure and dispatch a wide variety of energy generation and storage resources based on fuel costs, electric tariffs, resilience objectives and carbon reduction goals.
Burns is excited about its collaboration with LBNL, and will continue to utilize DER–CAM to help clients deploy distributed generation and microgrids to lower energy costs, improve resilience and reduce emissions.
