Burns Upgrading Airfield Lighting Infrastructure At Shreveport Regional Airport
Burns was recently selected to lead a team to upgrade the existing airfield lighting infrastructure at Shreveport Regional Airport in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Shreveport Regional Airport is beginning a major effort to upgrade the existing electrical infrastructure serving the airfield to create a more robust airfield infrastructure, while reducing down time and maintenance costs. The improved lighting system anticipates future airfield expansion, improved taxiway geometry and future air traffic control tower needs. In addition to the subsurface electrical systems, Burns is designing new precision approach path indicator systems for the ends of three runways.
As the prime, Burns has assembled a team of consultants that bring local insight and expertise to this task, and will provide Shreveport with a reliable and efficient airfield with room for future expansion.
