David Smith Presenting At PGW Energy Seminar

On Thursday, October 15th at 4:05pm, David Smith will present “Paradigm Shifts- Natural Gas and the Distributed Energy Infrastructure of the Future” at the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) Seminar and Reception on Energy Savings, Reliability and Combined Heat and Power (CHP). This event will take place at the Academy of Natural Sciences and is scheduled from 3:30pm to 7:00pm.

In his presentation, Dave will discuss the transition away from the dominant “centralized” model of electric generation, transmission and distribution to a more decentralized model where natural gas and distributed generation technologies increasingly enable self-generation and resilient microgrids.

Dave has 30 years of energy industry experience with a background in energy efficiency, onsite power, renewable energy, microgrids, project finance, innovative technologies, sustainability, planning and public policy. Dave has spoken at many industry events, and has been a guest lecturer at The Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania, and Green Mountain College, speaking on topics ranging from sustainable energy systems, smart grids, distributed energy, advanced microgrids, and energy resilience.
