Burns Completes Power Study For Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport
Burns recently finished an electrical short circuit, incident energy, and protective device coordination analysis for Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This analysis encompassed the entire airport, and included over 40 utility service points. Information gathered was used to complete a comprehensive electrical arc flash hazard analysis for electrical substations, switchgear assemblies, switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, and equipment disconnects. Based on the data collected, Burns recommended device settings, and arc flash hazard labels were installed on the evaluated equipment. This comprehensive analysis helped CVG develop a stronger safety program, and greatly reduces potential dangers within the airport.
