Devonne Jackson Elected President Of COMTO Philadelphia
Devonne Jackson, PE, was recently elected President of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) Philadelphia Chapter. Devonne is a strong advocate for minorities in the transportation industry. As the Vice President of the Philadelphia Chapter for the last two years, she focused heavily on increasing chapter membership and bringing awareness of COMTO to Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) and students.
Since joining COMTO in 2012, Devonne served as the co-chair of the Garrett Morgan Career Fair, was 2013 Member of the Year, and has played an active role on other initiatives such as the Golf Outing, Scholarship Luncheon, and COMTO National Legislative and HUB Sub-Committees. As President, Devonne will focus on publicity and marketing for COMTO Philadelphia Chapter events, as well as membership engagement, legislative forums, and professional training.
COMTO is a multi-modal transportation organization that provides leadership programs and advocacy services to address the needs of businesses, minorities and local communities. COMTO has also made a commitment to students to assist them with their educational and career aspirations. Devonne will serve as COMTO Philadelphia’s President for a two year term through May 2018.
