Burns Grows Aviation Special Systems Group
Burns is excited to announce the addition of Greg Spence and Jason Koob to our Aviation Special Systems Team! Both Greg and Jason have exceptional talent and expertise, and have worked with many high profile clients, including some of the largest airports in the world.
Greg Spence, PE, joins Burns as a Project Manager. With over 17 years of experience in the design and management of airport terminal special systems and IT projects at over forty airports, Greg brings incomparable technical expertise, as well as excellent team-building and leadership skills to Burns’ Aviation Group. Most recently, Greg managed the IT and security design effort for the Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program at DFW International Airport, as well as the new North Terminal Building in New Orleans. For the past eight years he also managed the IT On-Call Services Contract for DFW, completing over 50 IT/security-specific projects across their campus.
Jason Koob joins Burns as a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist. Jason has over 25 years of experience in design and construction management, with a special focus on systems and security systems for large-scale aviation, transportation, and mission-critical facilities projects. From 2009-2013, Jason served as the On-Site Lead Senior Systems Engineer for the New Doha International Airport project in Doha, Qatar – a project that involved over 100 contractors and over 60 facilities, including the 6 million square foot Main Passenger Terminal Building.
