Manhattan Districts 1/2/5 Garage and Spring Street Salt Shed Featured in Civil Engineering Magazine

New York City’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC) recently released a set of guiding design principles for the architects and engineers contracted to design public buildings and infrastructure. These design principles support Mayor Bill de Blasio’s goal to create a sustainable and resilient city for all New Yorkers. The Manhattan Districts 1/2/5 Garage and Spring Street Salt Shed embody the principles highlighted by the DDC, and touch on all four critical lenses – equity, sustainability, resiliency, and healthy living – that Mayor de Blasio singled out as the most important for the growing city.
Burns is proud to have contributed to the success of this project, and to support the City of New York’s sustainability and resiliency initiatives.
