Samuel Mullen Presenting at NEC AAAE Airports Conference

On Thursday, March 30th at 10:30am, Samuel Mullen III will present “Assessing Your Airfield Electrical Distribution System” at the 2017 NEC/AAAE Airports Conference in Hershey, PA.

Increased passenger volume at airports across the country has pushed airfield electrical distribution systems to extremes.  Airports are expanding airfields to meet higher traveler demands, but the safety, reliability, and redundancy of associated airfield electrical systems have not grown accordingly.  Redundancy of electrical distribution equipment and revised circuit arrangements are an integral part to the safety and reliability of the airfield.  Sam’s presentation will review methods to increase redundancy and improve reliability of these important electrical systems, and will examine how airfield revitalization projects can be effectively identified and prioritized.

An Electrical Engineering Associate with Burns, Sam has extensive experience in airfield electrical design, and has provided design and construction phase services for high, medium and low voltage power systems, airfield lighting systems and NAVAIDS.  Sam has been with Burns for 15 years.

Burns is also exhibiting at the conference. Please stop by and visit us in Booth #41!

We hope to see you at the NEC AAAE Airports Conference beginning on March 28th.
