Jonathan Schimpf Accepts Section Chapter of the Year Award from IEEE Philadelphia
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Philadelphia recently selected the Power & Energy/Industry Applications (PES/IAS) Joint Chapter to receive the IEEE Philadelphia Section Chapter of the Year Award. As Chapter Chair, Jonathan Schimpf, PE, Railroad & Transit Project Manager at Burns, accepted the award on behalf of his Chapter at the IEEE Philadelphia Section’s Annual Awards Banquet and Gala on Saturday, April 29th.
The PES/IAS Joint Chapter represents members of both the Power and Energy Society and the Industrial Applications Society within the IEEE. As Chair, Jonathan has helped coordinate networking opportunities that allow members to explore current topics and share issues facing the electrical engineering community.
Stás Muzylowski, Electrical Engineering Associate at Burns, also serves as the PES/IAS Chapter’s Secretary.
