Dom Nessi Moderating Panels at Annual SMART Airports Conference
Dom Nessi, Senior Technology Advisor at Burns, is moderating three sessions at the 2017 SMART Airports & Regions Conference and Exhibition in Charlotte, North Carolina. On Friday, August 4, Dom will moderate a Chief Information Officer Panel, as well as sessions on Smart Connected Airports, and “The Airport Lab”, which focuses on the future of the sentient, intelligent, and intuitive airport. Dom’s expertise will help presenters and participants deeply explore the concept of smart airports, and will look at how digitalization, communication infrastructure and interactive media can significantly enhance an airport’s physical environment.
Dom’s expertise is focused on airport technology systems, particularly airport cybersecurity. He was the Deputy Director for Information Technology at Los Angeles World Airports for almost nine years. Today, Dom works with Burns at a number of airports across the country, and teaches cybersecurity classes around the world. He also works closely with Airports Council International (ACI) on its cybersecurity initiative, and chairs ACI’s World Cybersecurity Taskforce.
The Annual SMART Airports Conference will explore the catalytic effect and critical success factors covering the economic development ecosystem of SMART airports and the regions they serve, integrate and connect with.
