David Smith Discussing Critical Infrastructure and Resiliency at New York Advanced Energy Event

David Smith, Director of Energy Services, was invited to speak at the New York Advanced Energy Stakeholder Breakfast on Thursday, March 8th. The event will focus on critical infrastructure and resiliency, and features a panel of energy experts including Susanne DesRoches, Deputy Director of Infrastructure + Energy at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Recovery & Resiliency and Office of Sustainability.
Dave is an expert in the energy and utilities industry, with over 30 years of experience and specialized expertise in combined heat and power, microgrids, renewable energy, project finance, energy efficiency, innovative technologies, sustainability, planning and public policy. He has led many campus energy and sustainability master planning projects with an emphasis on identifying integrated, holistic strategies to maximize cost savings, energy resilience and environmental benefits. Dave is a frequent presenter at industry conferences, and has spoken at the 2017 New York Power Summit and the 2017 Globalcon Conference. Most recently, Dave presented at the 2018 ACC/AAAE Airport Planning, Design and Construction Symposium, where he discussed how microgrids can help airports leverage renewable power and energy storage to increase resiliency, and reduce energy costs and emissions.
