John Hasrouni Joins Burns, Brings Extensive Traction Power Expertise
A big welcome to John Hasrouni, PE, who recently joined Burns as a Senior Traction Power Engineer. John has over 30 years of experience in the design and construction of traction power supply and distribution systems for a wide variety of metro, light rail, high speed rail, and freight rail projects across the US, UK, Australia, Taiwan, India, Qatar and Malaysia. His expertise in AC and DC traction power supply systems, HV/MV power distribution systems, and interface with electric utilities, rolling stock, signaling & telecommunications, trackwork, and E&M services, brings enhanced depth to our talented Railroad & Transit team.
Most recently, John was the Chief Traction Power Engineer for a major design-build contractor in India, and was responsible for the design and engineering of AC and DC traction power supply systems for a number of mainline railway and transit projects, including the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, Mauritius LRT, and Dhaka Metro projects.
