Two Burns Rising Stars Honored with Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 40 Under 40 Award

Burns congratulates Erica Antoine, PE and Philip Gonski, PE for their recognition among the industry’s most talented young engineers. Both are recipients of this year’s Consulting-Specifying Engineer 40 Under 40 Award.

Erica is a transportation project manager entrusted by transit agencies up and down the East Coast. She oversees design and construction of large, complex station and facilities projects, delivering benefits for millions of passengers for generations to come.

Achievements include high-profile projects such as the $20 million Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Independence Hall Station Renovation and the $28 million Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) Franklin Square Station Renovation. Erica is an engaged and active volunteer, serving as president of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) – Philadelphia Chapter.

Phil is a power engineering project manager who has become a sought-after resource for several “first-of-its-kind” energy projects. Clients come to Phil for his ability to generate innovative, cutting-edge approaches and technical solutions to large, complex clean energy projects. 

Notable projects include design of several New York City microgrids that provide reliable energy supply for millions of residents and mission-critical organizations, the first microgrid to power an urban train system, the first commercial combustion turbine power plant run entirely on biofuel, and a 3,200-MW power plant in the challenging climate of Saudi Arabia.
