Burns Selected to Investigate Subway Waterproofing Solutions under Philadelphia City Hall

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) will engage Burns to research and advise comprehensive waterproofing solutions for the City Hall subway station, the busiest on SEPTA’s Broad Street Line.
Burns’ investigations will identify sources of persistent water infiltration. Supporting Pennoni, our team will provide outside-of-the-box alternatives, including both structural and chemical solutions that provide the longest-lasting, most-economical repairs.
Recommendations will take into consideration strategies that can minimize impact on station operations as well as throughout Penn Square, the pedestrian plaza at the heart of Center City Philadelphia, home to historic City Hall and Dilworth Park.
