Pennsylvania will soon be deploying electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the Commonwealth.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program will offer grants for the planning, design, construction, operation or maintenance of EV charging infrastructure.

The $171.5-million program is part of a federally funded buildout of the country’s EV charging network. PennDOT plans to prioritize funding for charging sites located along Pennsylvania’s 1,800 miles of interstate highway.

Burns is supporting HNTB with development and implementation of the NEVI program. Burns will perform feasibility studies and provide technical support for the NEVI program.

Beyond Pennsylvania, Burns is also supporting the expansion of EV charging infrastructure at federal facilities across the country.
