Social Committee
Our Social Committee helps build camaraderie within our offices. Past in-office activities such as Office Olympics, College Colors Day, celebrations for National Train and Aviation Days, and activities during National Engineers Week foster spirited competition and lasting friendships. The Committee also plans family-friendly events outside the office, including fall festivals, mini golf competitions, bowling nights, sports leagues, and a night at the Phillies.
Philanthropy Committee
The Burns Philanthropy Committee focuses on giving back to the communities where we live and work. They select and spearhead an annual fundraising effort, and plan events like chili cook-offs, cookie bake-offs, and our annual event – a Monte Carlo Night – to raise funds for the selected cause. These annual fundraisers have raised a total of more than $40,000! Our current campaign, “Engineering a Bright Tomorrow”, supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, and has raised over $20k for classroom supplies and programming.
Wellness Program
Burns is committed to providing comprehensive medical plans at a competitive cost to employees and the company. Burns established a comprehensive Wellness Program to support this initiative and proactively manage medical costs. In addition to promoting healthy lifestyles and prevention among our employees, our wellness program helps enhance productivity, cognition, engagement, and workplace satisfaction. Participation in the Wellness Program is voluntary; however, Burns provides a generous incentive for those employees who meet program requirements.
