Recently, Burns Engineering, Inc. has been receiving a number of reports where people have received false employment offers to join the firm. This type of fraud has been committed through online services such as fraudulent websites, text messages, emails, and online instant messaging interviews from individuals claiming to represent our firm. Burns Engineering, Inc. does not extend offers of employment without conducting in-person or multiple virtual interviews hosted on a RingCentral or Microsoft Teams platform. In addition, Burns Engineering, Inc. does not require sensitive information (such as social security numbers, financial, and/or bank account information) to be disclosed as part of the interview process or a condition of employment.
