Thank you for visiting our website. Burns Engineering, Inc. (“Burns” or “we” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to protect any Personal Data (as defined below) you may share with us online through our website.

We act as controllers of your Personal Data in the areas and context covered by this Privacy Policy. Our contact details are set out at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Privacy

We created this Privacy Policy to tell you how we use your Personal Data. It is important to us that you understand how we will treat your Personal Data and that you are aware of your rights.

“Personal Data” means any piece of information which can be used to identify, directly or indirectly, an individual, but does not include data that is de-identified, anonymous, or publicly available.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect personal information from you when you fill out a contact form on our website. In addition, our web servers and online forms take note of your IP address and web browser type. This information may be used for website analysis, to detect problems with our service, to administer our website, and to collect broad demographic information. Demographic information is gathered in aggregate only and cannot be traced to an individual user.

We do not sell, trade or disclose any Personal Data to outside parties.

We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Reports are generated on website usage and web traffic using various methods such as cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from this website to provide other services and ads.

Cookies

We use cookies (small files which remember a user’s electronic device) to help improve our website, and improve our services to you, in a variety of different ways. Burns’ web servers may also set a session ID cookie that is used to allow our web servers to deliver information you request (e.g., search results). Session IDs cannot be traced to an individual person or customer name and are analyzed only in aggregate.

Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager cookies for monitoring overall website usage levels.  Please note that you can adjust your web browser settings to block the use of cookies, although this may result in some parts of our website and other websites not being available to you. Your web browser may allow you to be notified when you are receiving a cookie, giving you the choice to accept it or not. You can use your web browser to determine which type of cookies you have allowed, and you can delete existing cookies (usually within your web browser’s Tools, Options or Privacy settings). Each web browser may have different cookie preferences, which can result in different cookies for each web browser. In addition, Google provides a Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on for web browsers, which prevents Google Analytics from collecting information about website visits.
