Burns Leads Design of Complex Facilities Project for the Port of Philadelphia

Burns is proud to announce our role as prime engineer for PhilaPort’s Terminal Access and Capacity Improvements Design project at the Tioga Marine Terminal (TMT), in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which will be one of the biggest infrastructure projects ever undertaken by the organization. We will be contributing our infrastructure engineering expertise to steer this project, focusing primarily on reducing capacity constraints, easing traffic congestion within the terminal and on regional highways and railroads, and increasing cargo activity at TMT. All work will be phased to minimize the impact on terminal operations and is projected to be complete by April 2028.
