Burns to Contribute Expertise to Los Angeles International Airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal Refresh

April 10, 2026

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)’s new project to refresh Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) will modernize the facility, improve guest experience, and maximize existing space. Burns will support HNTB and LAWA by providing innovative technology design, engineering, management, and construction administration services.

To support this process, Burns will bring our expertise in multimedia, IT/Communications, and security systems, as well as an established understanding of LAWA communications and technology systems.

Working with Los Angeles-inspired themes such as endless summer, sunny skies, and Hollywood nights, the refreshed terminal is designed to deliver a more intuitive, vibrant, and distinct experience. Travelers can look forward to calmer passenger flows, clearer wayfinding, and a more welcoming arrival designed with ease and comfort in mind.

The project is scheduled to be complete ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games.
