John Kessler
Project Manager
John is an accomplished and detailed project manager with design and construction oversight experience on infrastructure projects across the United States. With the knowledge he has gained over the 13 years of his professional career, he understands how building trust and understanding clients’ key issues delivers sustained on-time, on-budget results. John has extensive experience working in all facets of electric vehicle charging systems projects, from site selection and engineering through on-site construction management and commissioning of vehicles and chargers. He has worked with clients in the private and public sectors, spanning city governments and agencies, transportation and logistics companies, and private goods. He is dedicated to the deployment of simple, safe, and accessible electrified charging systems for all.
John’s detail-oriented and transparent communication approach to project management ensures that all projects are built to a high quality of standard. He ensures the customer’s voice is present in the design and construction to surpass their expectations. He is passionate about building complex and technical sustainability-focused projects that improve the future of electrified transit.
Professional Highlights
- Led site selection, engineering and design, and construction oversight for fleet electrification at 15 commercial distribution warehouses for multiple private fleet operators. Customers required 16 Level 3 fast chargers and over 120 Level 2 80A chargers across 15 sites in California (Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego), and two sites in New York.
- Directed the engineering and utility coordination of 16 350-kW dual-corded dispensers and four 1.2 MW power cabinets to support the deployment of 62 battery electric trucks (BETs) as a part of JETSI, the largest commercial deployment of battery-electric trucks in North America at the time.
- Oversaw a $5.3M-dollar, 55 project initiative for electric vehicle charger installation construction, engineering, and turn-key construction across 11 different governmental agencies for the Cities of Los Angeles and Glendale, California.
