Confidential Client, Data Center Resiliency Assessment

Burns played a key role in supporting the prime engineer and confidential client in strengthening the operational resiliency of broadcast data centers in three locations in the United States.

Through close coordination with the prime engineer and onsite client operators, Burns evaluated critical power, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety infrastructure essential to continuous data center operations. The team combined high-level visual inspections, operator interviews, and detailed reviews of drawings, operating procedures, as-built records, and controls documentation to develop a shared understanding of system condition, performance, and readiness.

This collaborative assessment approach helped translate field observations and operator insight into actionable recommendations, giving the client a clearer basis for prioritizing improvements that addressed system weaknesses, operational vulnerabilities, deferred maintenance concerns, and documentation gaps while supporting greater reliability, maintainability, operational efficiency, and long-term resiliency across mission-critical facility systems.
