Philip Gonski Joins Burns As Project Manager

The Burns Group is proud to announce the addition of Philip M. Gonski, PE, to the company, enhancing the firm’s power and energy capabilities, and continuing our commitment to technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Phil brings wide-ranging expertise to Burns, with experience designing and managing projects including the largest simple-cycle biodiesel power plant in the country, and one of the biggest combined-cycle power plants in the world. His experience also has involved major wastewater treatment facility upgrades, transit infrastructure, and many distributed generation stations in the area. Over the years Phil has made significant contributions to the engineering community, resulting in his selection as the 2014 Delaware Valley Engineers Week Young Engineer of the Year, as well as the 2013 IEEE Young Engineer of the Year.

Active in the professional engineering community, Phil has served as the Chairman of IEEE Philadelphia, the largest professional non-profit in the Philadelphia area, since 2013. He has also authored numerous technical articles, including ‘Diagnosing Motor Bearing Currents’, published in the EC&M Magazine in August 2012, as well as “Arc Flash Hazards in the Water Industry”, published in Waterworld Magazine.

Phil joins Burns as a Project Manager, and will focus on power and energy projects for our commercial/industrial clients.
