Burns Finalizes Drawings For Extension Of Taxiway At Los Angeles International Airport
Burns recently completed electrical construction drawings for the extension of Taxiway B to the West Aircraft Maintenance Area at Los Angeles International Airport. This project linked a new taxiway connector with airfield lighting systems to the West Aircraft Maintenance Area. Electrical subsurface infrastructure, including airfield conduits, cables, and light bases, was installed, and LED light fixtures were provided. Use of LED light fixtures on airfields has proven to reduce maintenance, improve performance, and reduce energy consumption.
Burns provided construction administration services throughout the construction phase for verification of installed electrical materials and installation methods for new taxiway centerline and edge lighting systems, taxiway guidance sign lighting systems, and underground conduit and series lighting circuits.
