Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, Central Heating System Improvements
Planning, design and construction services were needed in order to create 100% heating redundancy for 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, and long-term care regional healthcare facility.
Burns was tasked with replacing the hospital’s entire steam boiler and HVAC air management system. Scope includes all new state-of-the art high efficiency boilers, replacement of all air handling units complete with humidification, new pumps, steam piping and state-of-the art smart building controls to control the environment for critical care areas including Acute Care, Pharmacy, Laboratories and Operating Rooms.
Burns is responsible for all engineering, ICRA plans, site location planning, construction management, and installation coordination.
