As part of the George Bush Intercontinental Airport Terminal Redevelopment Program (ITRP), state-of-the-art multimedia displays will become the focal point within the new Mickey Leland International Terminal Complex (ITC).
Burns will guide Houston Airports through the immersive multimedia design and installation process, leading the development and procurement of a fully customized content-production system.
The engineering and production process — closely coordinated with the ITC design teams — will include direct-view LED display technology and various audio-video, structural, electrical, and communications support systems.
A long-time partner for Houston Airports, Burns provides a wide range of technology system design services for the ITC’s International Central Processor, renovated Terminal D concourse, and new D West Pier international concourse.
The $1.3 billion ITRP is scheduled to complete construction in 2024.
