Burns Performs Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Chiller Plant Assessment

Burns is consulting Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on strategies to optimize performance of the Terminal 1 (T1) chilled water system.

Supporting Saltz Michelson Architects, Burns performed an assessment to improve the chiller plant’s operating conditions and to increase overall reliability of the T1 chilled water system.

In collaboration with airport stakeholders, Burns’ evaluation covered:

Field survey of chilled water plant
Condenser water piping configuration and piping sizes
Chilled water piping configuration and piping sizes
Cooling tower condition and function
