Burns to Assist Caltrain in Rail System Engineering Projects to Improve Reliability, Safety, Accessibility, and Sustainability

Caltrain has engaged Burns in a five-year agreement designed to provide a comprehensive range of rail system engineering services, including rail vehicle onboard systems, back office system applications, wayside systems, and the critical communication and network infrastructures that support these operations.
The scope of the services our firm will provide covers technology and management services crucial to the planning, design, implementation, operations, maintenance, and overall management of various railroad system initiatives. These services are intended to ensure that Caltrain’s rail systems remain efficient and effective throughout the duration of the agreement.
Our team will manage anticipated and unexpected challenges swiftly, ensuring there is no disruption to Caltrain’s mission as a transportation service that enhances quality of life for all of its users.
