Joe Vigilante, PE will be presenting on the future of electric mobility at the 2023 Northeast Chapter, American Association of Airport Executives (NEC/AAAE) Airports Conference, March 6 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Joe’s session, “Vertiports: Realizing the Future of Urban Air Mobility (UAM)” will discuss how the advent of lightweight, short-range aerial craft technology, known as electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, may impact airports across the country.

As UAM technologies advance, unique challenges will include eVTOL facility design, the need to expand and overhaul existing electrical infrastructure, and considerations for air travel operations such as airfield ground lighting.
