Bellevue Hospital 4MW Cogeneration System
Bellevue Hospital is the country’s oldest public hospital, with over 800 beds in operation and a Level 1 Trauma Center. Bellevue is one of the City’s largest full-service healthcare facilities and among ConEd’s largest electric and steam customers.
The 4MW CHP system will deliver on-site power to the facility in the event of an extended electric utility outage and will also reduce energy costs.
Burns engineered the 30% design, bridging documents and performance specification for the design build project, and is currently the owner’s agent for the construction phase of design-build delivery.
