NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island, Central Utility Plant
NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island (NYULHLI) is a 511-bed medical and Level 1 Trauma Center. It proudly offers sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery.
Burns provided survey, feasibility analysis, utility coordination and logistics planning for the upgrade and replacement of many hospital Central utilities, systems and infrastructure. The planning was driven by the client’s goals to accommodate future expansion, enhance energy resiliency and efficiency to withstand grid blackouts. The new utilities will ensure full operational continuity and reduce energy costs, resulting in a payback of fewer than eight years.
