Erica Antoine and Phil Gonski Named ENR Top Young Professionals

Two of Burns’ rising stars continue to shine! Congratulations to Project Managers Erica Antoine, PE and Phil Gonski, PE for their recognition among the Engineering News-Record (ENR) Class of 2023 Mid-Atlantic Top Young Professionals.

Erica and Phil both epitomize Burns’ commitment to achieving client success through projects that deliver social and environmental progress and to the advancement of a more inclusive engineering profession.

Each year ENR selects among the “best and brightest emerging design and construction leaders” from the region. Burns is proud to see Erica and Phil recognized for their accomplishments.

Erica’s transit clients trust her with large, complex station and operations facilities projects. Recent work includes the $20-million Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) 5th Street Station Renovation and $28-million Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) Franklin Square Station Renovation.

Erica is a deeply committed member of Women Transportation Seminar (WTS), recently completing her term as WTS Philadelphia chapter president. 

Phil manages a wide range of clean energy projects, placing him among the industry’s foremost experts in microgrid, renewable energy, and complex electrification design strategies. Recent work includes integrating DRPA’s  22-Megawatt (MW) solar array and guiding implementation for Santa Fe Community College’s campus microgrid.

Phil actively works to foster the next generation of engineering leaders as a mentor for student design competitions and board member for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)-USA.
